ABOUT THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION MUSTANG CLUB

The first generation Ford Mustang was an immediate success when introduced in the spring of 1964. The Mustang was the first of a whole new breed of American Automobile: The Pony Car. There was nothing else quite like this uniquely designed sports car with the long hood, low roof line, sculpted body sides, and short deck. It spawned a host of competitors and was in the forefront of the performance era of the late 60's.

Ford sold over 3 million Mustangs between 1964 and 1973 and those early Mustangs still enjoy mass popularity as collectible classics. But even today, Ford's Mustang continues to be one of the hottest selling cars on the market, with the original spirit of youthfulness and style that first captured America's passion for freedom and independence.

Get to Know Us

The NCRMC was born out of that same enthusiasm, with only a handful of members. We are now a nationally known organization respected not only for automotive expertise, but a willingness to help members maintain, restore, and modify all generations of Mustang.

We have supported numerous charities including: Children’s Hospital, The Hospice of the Rapidan, The Montgomery College Education Fund, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Boulder Crest Foundation.

The NCRMC counts several Gold Card MCA Judges amongst our members. These judges participate in MCA national and regional events. (Membership in the MCA is separate from the NCRMC). Our club has produced three MCA Grand National Car Shows and is currently planning and producing a Grand National Show for 2025.
