I have a 1989 Mustang McLaren convertible that I am putting out on the market. The car is in great condition (except for the rag top – that will need replacing). The car has been painted from the original color, and there have been some modifications. I have kept the original parts. There is a replacement metal racing fan that replaced the original equipment plastic one. The rear gears were changed out making it more efficient between 55 & 65. (I did keep all the gears, so they can be replaced if you’d like).
This has the usual 5.0 lit V-8, automatic tranny, with AC. There is a 10 CD changer … Panasonic, W/ remote. The color is a deep maroon …. Interior is good, with all the original leather sections that were imprinted and stamped with Mclaren. There is no body work done to the vehicle. The mileage is 63,230 original miles. I’ve owned the car for 4 years and have changed the oil and rotated the tires on schedule. The tranny was completely rebuilt 3 years ago and shifts strong. The car has been aligned twice since I’ve owned the car … it has been within tolerances both times. The tires have about 5,000 miles on them and were put on the car new when I purchased the vehicle.
As Mustang fans know … the McLaren modification package was done to only 1,801 vehicles, over a 5 year period. To my knowledge, this is the only 2-seater Mustang out there.
I am asking $8,500 for the vehicle as is. If you’d want me to replace the top … add on $1,100. The car can be seen at my residence and I can be reached at my cell # - 804-450-0646 if anyone has an interest.
