Renntag Racing makes clean sweep at VIR season opener.

With the end of the 2008 season leaving the #81 CMC mustang a bit battered and bruised, prep for 2009 was more than we had hoped for. None the less, with the aid of Springfield Motorsport, the yellow #81 was ready for battle.

After a few adjustments in practice, I was able to garner pole position after clicking off laps near the CMC record. A clean start and break away found overall victory in front of both CMC and CMC2 fields.

Sunday we awoke to rain and made necessary changes to the car. Full tread tires and a softer set up were in order. Again this effort proved wise as another pole position was earned. Starting from the front row and getting a break away, another win was recorded making for a perfect clean sweep !

Here is video of Saturday's race: http://vimeo.com/3344150

Combined front and rear video will be uploaded once I combine them.

Sunday's race will be up shortly.

Enjoy the video. Please check out RenntagRacing.com and come say hello if anyone attends a NASA Mid-Atlantic race event. NASAracing.net for schedule.

Many Many thanks to Springfield Motorsport for their help and support ! ! I couldn't have had this success with out their help.

Thanks guys.

I hope to see some NCRMC folks out at summit point this year ! Rex comes out to show support. I am hoping that the shows dont conflict with my race schedule as they did in 2008.

I was a few points shy of the championship in 2008, I am hoping to win it this year.

Stay tuned !

Rick Robinson is the club appointed race coordinator so I hope you will see more NCRMC members at Summit Point and at the drag strip.

Excellent. Rick played an important role in my pre-race preparations.

Hope to see many of you soon.
