Almost have my TrueFiber hood done. Waiting on my KR hood pins and the Vinyl stripes to come in and it will be ready. Almost have a complete KR Prototype clone complete. My 20" Alcoa wheels are on a 1 month back order.

This is the look I am going for. I have everything made/cloned down to the badges/vinyls. Why do I prefer the Prototype KR? The Prototype hood is an actual ram air hood and you can view the engine thru its vent like the Truefiber version. (See hood pic below) Prototype also came with 20" Alcoa Wheels which look much better then the 18" Alcoas. And well... I'd hate to mod an actual KR or use it as a daily driver.

That's a great looking hood. I was looking into getting one when it comes time to get a new paint job. Can't wait to see the final outcome.

I can't wait to get my exterior finished so I can start on the engine. I'm stuck between just tossing on the 3.4 Whipple or going the Hellion TT wo/the supercharger to lose some weight up front.

I would be very interested in seeing the pictures of the truefiber hood with the hood pins on your car.

Hood is done. Still waiting for my properly sized Hood Bump stops to come in so the hood dont hang down too far in the front. Alcoa wheels still have 2 more weeks of back order left.. ordered them late January.

Is this the car the Springfield Motorsport's did?
Did you decide not to put the rally stripes on?

Springfield Motorsports did the hood. I had the stripes on orginally, but I didn't like the way it looked so I took them off entirely.
Hoping the wheels come in soon to complete the look.
And yes the vents are 100% functional. You can look thru the vent and see the Shelby dip stick just like the above photo.

Hey Blaine,
I have a "vent" story for you........
In the Fall of the early 70's I became divorced. She got the daily driver (new '74 Dodge Van), I got the house, the EType and the dog (the dog liked me better, anyway).
So, here I am driving my Jag as a daily driver. Not too bad until you start to consider their reputation, at times, with the Lucas electrics etc. Anyway, one very cold winter night, we had freezing rain. At the time, the Jag was parked in the elements. That morning I'm off to work, only to find, first, I couldn't get the door open (frozen), once over that hurdle, I go to start the engine and the manual choke control does not move, nor does the carb(s) linkage. They were all frozen because, located under those beautiful row of vents on the passenger side, is the 3 SUs and all of the connective linkage and all were frozen from the rain droplets that entered. Needless to say, I was late for work that morning.
Moral of the story.......don't get divorced in the winter! Ha!, Ha!
Play Safe today!
