Both of my actuators on my 72 Mach1 stopped working so I searched everyone for D1AZ-9A926 in-line and contacted many Mustang parts places. NOBODY has any. Scott Drake stopped making them and NOS ones are impossible to find. So, after some searching on-lie I found some actuators that looked pretty similar. The ones for the ram-air are different for the one on the air cleaner in that they were riveted to the plenum and have a hole on both ends instead of a hole and a tab.
I ordered two Niehoff FE714 actuators for about $15 a pop from O'Reilly Auto Parts. I took them apart and used the parts I needed for my original ones. So after taking the plenum and motors apart I got two good as new actuators on the car and the work just fine. I have see only place offer a rebuilding service for $90 a pop. Save $75 and do it yourself like I did.
