My stock 2000 V6 sits a tad high for whatever reason and I'm doing some research on which kit to buy. I've had the car up on a lift to do the full brake system with Power Stop Rotors and Hawk pads and I'm really anxious to dive into the suspension system but my knee has me in full stop mode as far as working on the car.

I only want to drop about an inch and get some nice shocks and struts. Afterwhich I will change over to dual exhaust.

I really like to keep the car looking pretty stock but feel it just sits too high for the body style.

Here it is after installing the 2000 GT wheels with Michelins 255/45's before removing the wing:

And here it is after using Corel draw to lower without the wing:

See what I mean - it just looks better lower to me.

Has anyone else dropped their V6 Mustang?

I haven't lowered mine yet, but I talked to the guys at Excessive about lowering it about 1- 1 1/2 inches. I'm going with the Steeda sport springs, adjustable sway bar and new shocks. I'm looking at doing all this in the spring.

Yes I would go with the Steeda Sport Springs. I have them on my GT and it worked out perfectly. Just the right height for me.

So did you measure your drop?
What did you get? They say about an inch.
Do you have any pictures of your car with the drop completed?
Did you go with new shocks and struts?
Thanks for the info.

When I first installed the Steeda Sport Springs on the car it droped the car about 1/2" and then as time went on the car dropped even lower to about 1 1/4" drop. As you can see the car is about 2" from the ground now. I did go with new shocks and struts when I had the spring replaced. I used Tiko Blue shock and struts. When you see Torri tell him Chriswiner sent you. Maybe he will give you a discount. LOL

Are you running wider rims and tires in the back to fill the wheel well like that?
Looks right.
