I want to attend the National Show in Indianapolis in early June. I might have access to a trailer, but it does not have electric brakes

Does anyone have a trailer (open or closed) that they would be willing to rent? I have an F-150 with 5.4L and complete towing package to pull it.

Post here or send me a Private Message.

Check your local u-haul and ryder dealers; most of them rent open trailers. Also check Craigslist, etc. you might be able to p/u a used trailer cheap.

How much did you want to pay and what dates would you have it? Also, check with your insurance company about what coverage is provided on a trailer, that info would be helpful in persuading someone to rent theirs to you. I know several people who have open and closed trailers who might be persuaded to rent them if they aren't in use at the time. There is also a guy here in Southern Maryland who is selling one. You might call him about renting, or buying. Here's the ad: TRAILER: 2008 18ft Holmes Flat Bed Car Trailer w/ tandem axles w/ brakes; like new condition. $2000/OBO 301-751-1166

Ryder will not rent a trailer without renting their truck. I have a truck (F-150 SuperCrew with the 5.4L and complete towing package). Ryder will not waive this policy for any reason.

U-Haul will rent local for one day, or in multiple days for drop off in another location. I'm working on this angle, but no luck yet.

I wish I could buy one, but my Home Owners Association strictly prohibits trailers. I know I could pay for storage some where, but I don't want to get into that much expense right now.

I've spoken with my insurance company and I can get a 10 day policy to cover the trailer. The period I'm looking for is June 3 - 9. The wife and I plan to go to the National Show in Indianapolis, and make a stop along the way home for a two day visit to the Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH.

I'll call the guy in MD about renting it...and post the results later.

Where you ever able to rent a trailer? I was wondering how this all turned out?
