Hey folks, I would like to propose the idea of having a Club Challenge Coin done up. As a retired USAF Graphics Artist I have a very long history of being involved in the design of inumerous coins over the years, for Presidential, military, businesses and clubs. I do have a great source we can get these made up at a very good price and the best quality. If you don't know about challenge coins here's some info from Wikipedia... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Challenge_coin

You can check out some of my past designs at... http://rpmcgraphics.bravehost.com/

If you are interested in a NCRMC Challenge Coin I can send you out the initial design I came up with...

I had some done up for my old unit and they ran just under $5 each, are you talking something along these lines?

Post up your artwork or PM me, I would like to see these as well. Is this something the Club officers like?

Yes indeed... for 100 coins in full color w shiny silver finish would be about $5.00 each through the folks at www.coinsandpins.com

I do a lot of freelance design work for them and they, by far, put out the best quality products as far as I'm concerned...

No way to put the art on the site due to it's large size, but I can e-mail the files to whomever would like to see the designs... Club Officers especially if you're listening...

Not a peep from anyone much to my surprise... a bit baffled by the disinterest... would be a great club identifier and momento...

Perhaps a 1965 on the front and a 2005 on the back. In Ford we trust.

I like the idea and would buy a couple or so.

Looking at the coin design in the quarterly that was handed out at the Cowles Parkway Car Show, I would ask that the writing on the back (the detail words in the center i.e. cobra, etc...) include all the makes of the car for example I did not notice the letters or word GT in there, before they are repeated? Just my two cents.

Thanks for the post - the GT is located just below the center logo after the word COBRA - I think I covered all the available models to include the Police SSP & German T-5 versions...

I havent seen a draft of the design but I definately like the idea. I work alot with the military. I have seen many different coins, and have some also. I would buy a few. Is there any way you could send me the design of the coin?

I think a challenge coin would be great. NCRMC logo on one side...the other side could be 65-73's or a representative of each era....no cobra/shelby stuff tho.
